Data Coordinator

 Frio County Emergency Services District No. 1 is seeking an independent contractor to serve as a Data Coordinator to oversee the development and maintenance of data systems for local fire departments within the Frio County ESD 1 jurisdiction.

Responsibilities include collecting and entering data, maintaining accurate records of apparatus, equipment, inventory and personnel and analyzing data for efficiency and quality. Will be required to produce reports, analyze data and make recommendations for improving data systems. Work with ESD management and fire department personnel to set and achieve datarelated goals. Travel to local fire departments for onsite work as needed. Provide technical support related to data systems to department personnel.

Our ideal candidate has essential data entry skills, familiarity with databases, spreadsheets and online forms, proofreading skills, is detail oriented, practices good time management with the ability to meet deadlines, has good communication skills as well as an ability to address and resolve questions or issues relating to data in collaboration with fire department personnel and the district administrator. Experience with First Due fire department software is a plus.

Ultimately, the role of the Data Coordinator is to ensure data and inventory systems are organized, complete, updated and readily available for cost analysis and strategic planning as well as routine evaluation.
